Tahini Honey Poached Salmon

Delicately poached salmon glazed with a creamy tahini and honey sauce, offering a perfect balance of nutty and sweet flavors for a wholesome and elegant meal.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow skillet, combine tahini, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, water, and olive oil; whisk until smooth.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper and place them skin-side down in the skillet.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover and poach the salmon for 10-12 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets occasionally until cooked through.
  5. Remove salmon from the skillet and spoon additional sauce over the top.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For added freshness, serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a light cucumber salad to complement the rich tahini sauce.
