  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 3 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

  3. Pour sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, and flour to create the topping.
  5. Sprinkle the pecan topping evenly over the sweet potato layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle a little maple syrup over the casserole before serving or add mini marshmallows on top for a sweeter variation.
