Crispy and flavorful, these Spicy Dry Rub Wings deliver a perfect balance of heat and smokiness with an easy-to-make seasoning blend. Ideal as a snack or appetizer that packs a punch.

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and brown sugar.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  4. Add olive oil to the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the dry rub seasoning over the wings and toss until fully coated.
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are crispy and cooked through.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking, watching carefully to avoid burning.
