This shrimp linguine recipe is a quick and easy weeknight dinner that’s packed with flavor. Tender shrimp, perfectly cooked linguine, and a light, flavorful sauce make this dish a guaranteed hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound linguine pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  4. Pour in the white wine and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in the parsley and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss to combine, adding a little pasta water if needed to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of butter to the sauce at the end. You can also add other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or spinach.
