Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Delicious homemade Reeses Peanut Butter Cups combine creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate in a perfectly balanced, easy-to-make treat that’s ideal for any dessert craving.

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
  4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate into each liner and spread to cover the bottom.
  5. Freeze for 10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  6. Add about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture on top of the hardened chocolate and flatten slightly.
  7. Cover the peanut butter layer with another tablespoon of melted chocolate, spreading gently to seal the peanut butter inside.
  8. Freeze for at least 30 minutes or until fully set.
  9. Remove from muffin tin and enjoy chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For an extra crunch, mix in chopped roasted peanuts into the peanut butter filling before assembling.
