ranch dressing

A creamy and tangy homemade ranch dressing that’s perfect for salads, dipping, and adding fresh flavor to your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
  2. Add dried parsley, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine evenly.
  3. If desired, add lemon juice or vinegar to brighten the flavor and mix well.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dressing for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Give the dressing a good stir before serving. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

Notes

For a thinner consistency, add additional buttermilk a tablespoon at a time. This dressing pairs wonderfully with fresh veggies, chicken wings, or drizzle over salads.
