  • 1 box (18.3 ounces) brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on box
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in pumpkin puree, egg, and pumpkin pie spice until well combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the pumpkin cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter.
  5. Spoon the remaining brownie batter over the pumpkin cheesecake layer. Swirl gently with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top before baking. These brownies are best served chilled.
