Peppermint Chocolate Layered Dessert

This Peppermint Chocolate Layered Dessert is a rich and refreshing treat combining creamy chocolate layers with a cool peppermint twist, perfect for the holiday season or any festive occasion.

  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup peppermint extract
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish to form the crust.
  2. In a large bowl, beat heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form; set aside half for topping.
  3. In another bowl, blend softened cream cheese with peppermint extract and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently.
  5. Spread this peppermint cream mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Drizzle melted chocolate over the peppermint layer.
  7. Top with the remaining whipped cream.
  8. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top for garnish.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set before serving.

Notes

For an extra indulgent twist, add a layer of crushed peppermint bark between the chocolate and cream layers.
