No Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars

Delightfully crunchy and sweet, these No Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars combine salty pretzels and rich caramel into an easy-to-make treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, plus extra for sprinkling
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups caramel chips or soft caramel candies
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels and melted butter until evenly coated, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and 1/4 teaspoon sea salt. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened and golden.
  5. Remove from heat and immediately stir in caramel chips until smooth. If using nuts, fold them in now.
  6. Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the pretzel crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Sprinkle additional sea salt over the top for a perfect salted caramel finish.
  8. Refrigerate the bars for at least 3 hours or until set.
  9. Once firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan and cut into squares.

Notes

For an extra indulgent twist, drizzle melted chocolate on top before chilling or add a sprinkle of sea salt just before serving to enhance the flavor.
