These fudgy brownies are swirled with a sweet cream cheese filling and topped with festive Halloween candies for a spooky and delicious treat. Perfect for parties or a fun baking project with the kids!

  • 1 box (13×9-inch size) brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on box
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • Assorted Halloween candies (candy corn, chocolate candies, gummy worms, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to temperature called for on brownie mix box and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter.
  5. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl gently.
  6. Bake according to package directions, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  7. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
  8. Top with Halloween sprinkles and assorted Halloween candies.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
