These Honey-Drizzled Baklava Cheesecake Phyllo Cookies offer a delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and traditional baklava flavors wrapped in crispy phyllo pastry, perfect as a sweet snack or elegant dessert.

  • 6 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, honey, vanilla extract, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough flat on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush with butter again. Repeat until all six sheets are stacked and buttered.
  4. Cut the stacked phyllo into 12 equal squares.
  5. Place about a teaspoon of the cheesecake mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the phyllo squares into triangles or envelopes, sealing the edges by pressing gently.
  7. Place the filled phyllo cookies on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with honey.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For added texture, sprinkle crushed pistachios on top after drizzling with honey, or serve with a side of Greek yogurt for a creamy contrast.
