Mouthwatering Halloween Crack

This Halloween Crack is a sweet and salty treat that’s incredibly addictive! It’s a simple cracker candy topped with toffee and spooky sprinkles, perfect for parties or gifting.

  • 1 box (40-50) saltine crackers
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the crackers.
  6. Bake for 5-6 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand for a few minutes to melt.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.
  9. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles.
  10. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. You can also add chopped nuts or pretzels to the toffee mixture for extra crunch.
