Introduction to Ghost Mini Taco Pies

These spooky Ghost Mini Taco Pies are a fun and easy Halloween treat! Crispy tortilla shells filled with seasoned ground beef and topped with cheesy ghost faces are sure to be a hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 mini flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Black olives, sliced
  • Optional toppings: salsa, guacamole, lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced.
  4. Press mini tortillas into muffin tins to form cups.
  5. Fill each tortilla cup with the seasoned ground beef mixture.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tortillas are lightly golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  8. While the pies are cooling, prepare the ghost faces. Mix sour cream with a small amount of shredded cheese until a thick, spreadable consistency is achieved.
  9. Spread the sour cream mixture on top of each taco pie to resemble a ghost.
  10. Use sliced black olives to create eyes and a mouth for each ghost.
  11. Serve immediately with your favorite taco toppings, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, use a spicier taco seasoning or add some diced jalapeños to the ground beef mixture.
