Garlic Olive Oil Dip

A simple and flavorful garlic olive oil dip perfect for bread, salads, and as a versatile appetizer accompaniment.

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic and sea salt. Use the back of a spoon to mash the garlic and salt together until it forms a coarse paste.
  2. Add the olive oil and fresh lemon juice to the garlic paste and whisk until well combined.
  3. Stir in freshly ground black pepper and chopped parsley if using.
  4. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve as a dip with crusty bread, drizzle over salads, or use as a flavorful sauce for grilled vegetables.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar before serving.
