Garlic Butter Fried Chicken

Crispy and flavorful, Garlic Butter Fried Chicken combines tender fried chicken with a rich garlic butter sauce for a deliciously satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  5. Carefully place chicken pieces in hot oil and fry for 6-8 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Drizzle garlic butter over the fried chicken and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, double coat the chicken by dipping it back into the buttermilk and flour mixture before frying.
