Dump-and-Bake Meatball Casserole

This Dump-and-Bake Meatball Casserole is a quick and easy comfort meal combining tender meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and melty cheese baked to perfection.

  • 1.5 lbs frozen meatballs
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz cooked pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and meatballs are heated through.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, before serving.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes over the casserole before baking or serve it with a side of garlic bread.
