Garlic Knots

Freshly baked homemade garlic knots on white plate

Delicious, soft garlic knots brushed with a flavorful garlic butter glaze, perfect as a snack or side dish for any Italian meal.

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 12×8 inches.
  3. Cut the dough into 12 strips, about 1 inch wide.
  4. Tie each strip into a knot and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  7. Remove knots from the oven and immediately brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter or serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
