Air Fryer Fries

Crispy and golden Air Fryer Fries offer a healthier alternative to traditional fries, delivering perfect texture with less oil and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into evenly sized fry shapes.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry thoroughly.
  3. Toss the dried potato fries with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding to ensure crispiness.
  6. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
  7. Once fries are golden and crispy, remove from air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the fries longer or double cook by frying once at a lower temperature, then again at a higher temperature.
