Creamy Horseradish Sauce recipe

This creamy horseradish sauce combines tangy horseradish with smooth sour cream, making it a perfect spicy accompaniment to meats and sandwiches.

  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, prepared horseradish, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled as a condiment for roast beef, sandwiches, or grilled vegetables.

Notes

For a thinner consistency, stir in a teaspoon of milk or water before serving. This sauce also pairs well with smoked salmon or as a dip for fresh veggies.
