  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper if using. Mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, turning halfway if desired.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture before baking.
