These cranberry meatballs are the perfect sweet and savory appetizer for any holiday gathering. Tender meatballs are simmered in a tangy cranberry sauce, creating a flavorful and festive dish.

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (14 ounce) can cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. In a large skillet, brown meatballs over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cranberry sauce, chili sauce, and water.
  5. Pour cranberry sauce mixture over meatballs in the skillet.
  6. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
