Appetizing Crab Boil Display

Enjoy a flavorful and festive crab boil featuring succulent crab, savory sausage, corn, and potatoes, all seasoned with a blend of aromatic spices. This is the perfect dish for a crowd!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds crab legs (snow crab or king crab)
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, such as andouille or kielbasa, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pound small red potatoes, halved
  • 4 ears of corn, halved
  • 1 large onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1/4 cup crab boil seasoning (such as Old Bay or Zatarain’s)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Fill a large stockpot with enough water to cover all ingredients.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, lemon, crab boil seasoning, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add the potatoes and sausage to the pot and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are slightly tender.
  4. Add the corn and crab legs to the pot. Cook for another 5-8 minutes, or until the crab is heated through and the corn is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drain the pot and serve the crab boil immediately.

Notes

Serve the crab boil with melted butter, cocktail sauce, or hot sauce for dipping. You can also add other vegetables like carrots or celery to the boil.
