Christmas Smoked Salmon Bruschetta Wreath

Celebrate the holidays with this festive Christmas Smoked Salmon Bruschetta Wreath, combining fresh smoked salmon, creamy cheese, and vibrant herbs for a perfect appetizer.

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley and rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
  2. Bake the baguette slices for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp. Remove and let cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half the chopped dill. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
  5. Top each slice with a piece of smoked salmon and a few capers.
  6. Arrange the prepared bruschetta slices in a circular wreath shape on a large serving platter.
  7. Garnish the wreath with remaining dill, fresh parsley, and rosemary sprigs for a festive look.
  8. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, add thin slices of cucumber or radish on top of the bruschetta before serving, or drizzle with a little honey mustard sauce.
