Christmas Morning Quiche

This festive Christmas Morning Quiche blends creamy eggs, savory ham, and melted cheese for a comforting holiday breakfast that’s easy to prepare and delightful to share.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Butter or cooking spray (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Place the pie crust into the prepared dish, pressing it firmly against the bottom and sides. Prick the bottom with a fork several times.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until fully combined.
  4. Sprinkle the diced ham, green onions, and shredded Gruyère cheese evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Pour the egg mixture carefully over the fillings in the crust, ensuring even distribution.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute ham with sautéed mushrooms and spinach. Serve with fresh fruit and a cup of coffee for a complete Christmas morning meal.
