This Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole is a comforting, cheesy baked dish combining tender chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese layered in a creamy sauce. Perfect for a family dinner, it brings all the classic flavors of cordon bleu in a convenient casserole form.

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, and cooked pasta.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or serve with a side of steamed vegetables. You can also substitute Swiss cheese with Gruyère for a slightly different taste.
