Chai Tea Latte

A warm and aromatic Chai Tea Latte featuring a blend of spices and creamy milk, perfect for cozy moments and a flavorful caffeine boost.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose black tea
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • 4 cloves
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, and peppercorns.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the spices.
  3. Add the black tea bags or loose tea to the saucepan and steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  4. Remove the tea bags or strain the tea to remove the spices and leaves.
  5. Stir in milk and honey or sugar; heat gently until warm but not boiling.
  6. Pour the chai latte into cups and serve hot.

Notes

For a frothy finish, use a milk frother before serving and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top.
