Cajun Chicken Pasta

Cajun Chicken Pasta combines tender, spicy chicken with creamy pasta and a hint of smoky Cajun seasoning, creating a flavorful and comforting dish perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips, then toss with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and minced garlic. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked pasta, chicken, and Parmesan cheese into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken well with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce. Serve with crusty bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
