Buckeye Dip

Buckeye Dip is a creamy, sweet peanut butter and chocolate dessert dip inspired by the classic Ohio candy, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
  3. Transfer the peanut butter mixture to a serving bowl and smooth the top evenly.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading gently to cover completely.
  6. Refrigerate the dip for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  7. Serve chilled with graham crackers, pretzels, or apple slices.

Notes

For an added crunch, sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts over the chocolate layer before refrigerating.
