Korean BBQ Beef

Tender, flavorful Korean BBQ Beef marinated in a savory-sweet sauce, perfect for a quick and delicious grilled meal.

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, rice vinegar, and black pepper until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the beef slices quickly for 1-2 minutes per side until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove from grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using. Serve immediately with steamed rice and side dishes.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with kimchi and a drizzle of gochujang sauce.
