Beef Burger

A classic beef burger featuring a juicy grilled patty served on a toasted bun, perfect for a satisfying and flavorful meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup and mustard, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  3. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook patties for about 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  6. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  7. Toast hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Assemble burgers by placing patties on buns and topping with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade beef burger.

Notes

For an extra flavorful burger, try adding a dash of smoked paprika or serve with crispy fries on the side.
