Bang Bang Fried Rice is a flavorful and spicy take on classic fried rice, featuring a zesty bang bang sauce that adds a delightful kick to every bite. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice, chilled
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons bang bang sauce (spicy mayo with sweet chili sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and bell pepper, sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
  3. Push veggies to one side and pour in the eggs, scrambling until just cooked.
  4. Add the cooked chicken and chilled rice to the skillet, stirring to combine all ingredients.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and bang bang sauce, mixing thoroughly to coat the rice evenly.
  6. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until everything is heated through.
  7. Remove from heat, fold in chopped green onions, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your spicy, flavorful Bang Bang Fried Rice!

Notes

For extra protein, add shrimp or tofu. Garnish with cilantro and a squeeze of lime for a fresh twist.
