These Apple Butter Brie Bites are the perfect sweet and savory appetizer! Flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, and sweet apple butter combine for an irresistible treat.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces brie cheese, rind removed, cubed
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
  • Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Gently roll out to slightly thin it.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 24 equal squares.
  4. Place each square into a mini muffin tin.
  5. Place a cube of brie cheese into each puff pastry cup.
  6. Top each with about 1/2 teaspoon of apple butter.
  7. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped pecans, if desired.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted.
  10. Let cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin.
  11. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle with a balsamic glaze after baking.
