Air Fryer Sea Scallops are perfectly seared scallops with a tender, juicy interior and a golden crust, made quickly and easily using an air fryer for a healthy and delicious seafood dish.

  • 12 large sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the scallops with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Place the scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until scallops are opaque and golden brown on the outside.
  5. Remove from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, ensure scallops are dry before seasoning to help achieve a crispy crust. Serve with a fresh green salad or over a bed of cauliflower rice for a light meal.
